ARM Welcomes New Member GAP, Georgia’s Largest Independent Agency Network

Itasca, Illinois (April 29, 2009) — As businesses struggle in a sluggish economy, independent insurance agents are finding relief. Georgia Agency Partners (GAP) has joined Associated Risk Managers (ARM), a national network of insurance leaders engaging in revenue-generating opportunities, sharing ideas, and increasing buying power. The new GAP membership enhances ARM’s presence by 12 insurance agencies (see list below), which collectively serves more than 35,000 clients and represents more than $200 million in combined premiums. Per Lewis Maddux, Vice President of ARM South, “Associated Risk Managers provides Georgia Agency Partners with a larger more diversified group of peer agencies with whom they can ally to strengthen each agency’s ability to service its customers and maximize revenue opportunities.

ARM and GAP agencies can also share their expertise in automation systems, sales, marketing and accounting. ARM gives GAP additional ability to leverage their relationship with Broker and Carrier partners.”

According to ARM Chairman Larry McSpadden of Indiana, “ARM is very excited about broadening its scope to Georgia. GAP’s membership is testimony to their investment in quality service and in assuring a competitive position in the Southeast.” The effort is part of ARM’s 2008-09 initiative to increase membership in the Southeast. Over the long term, ARM plans expansion in all parts of the country.

Georgia Agency Partners, Inc. (GAP) encompasses these leading independent Georgia insurance agencies, including: Bishop-Durden Insurance Group (Vidalia); Blanchard & Calhoun (Augusta); Blanton & Griffin (Valdosta); Blount, Burke, Wimberly & Hendricks (Statesboro); Harry Daniel Insurance (Cartersville); Matrix Insurance Agency (Newnan); McEver & Tribble, Inc. (Atlanta); McGinty Gordon & Associates (St. Simons); The Norton Agency (Gainesville); Prime Financial Services (Fayetteville); Stevens, Hale & Associates (Savannah); Waites & Foshee Insurance (Macon)

ARM is the nation's foremost independent agency network, representing 240 independent member organizations, 23 states, and $4+ billion annually in premium volume.
