Itasca, Illinois (December 19, 2006) — As Associated Risk Managers (ARM) wraps up the calendar year, ARM President Larry Johnson is looking ahead: “The industry landscape is continually changing,” he says. Leading the nation’s foremost independent insurance agency network, Johnson sees his job as critical. “ARM is a conduit for members’ growth in an increasingly competitive world. Unified efforts strengthen our market position and help us deliver better service to customers.”

With a vision to expand ARM membership and presence, Johnson is spearheading a Strategic Planning Committee that will articulate the organization’s short- and long-term goals. “Aggregation is our primary objective,” Johnson says. Adding more members will expand the number of states represented (currently 26) and continue to build ARM’s annual premium volume currently in excess of $4 billion. The Committee will address specific strategies including: encouraging member participation, adding revenue-enhancing resources, and increasing attendance at the National ARM Conference (held annually in mid-April).

“Holding members accountable for their involvement,” Johnson adds, “makes our organization that much stronger. ARM members are among the top producers in the country and they represent the industry’s most reputable organizations. Their cumulative strengths, experience, and insight are what makes ARM the vital, thriving force it is.”

The ARM network currently encompasses more than 300 agency members who benefit from proprietary quoting technology, cost-saving systems, ongoing training, and business support—in addition to invaluable networking avenues. Group buying power and ARM-only access to proven tools, programs, and resources afford substantial savings and business-building opportunities. ARM is also affiliated with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., the world’s fourth leading broker of commercial insurance programs, providing preferred access to a suite of AJG products, markets and risk management services.
