These operations include Risk Placement Services, Gallagher Re, London, Bermuda and Australia. In his presentation "Insurance Market Conditions... The Times - They are a Changin," Dave reviewed the insurance market conditions throughout the tenure of the ARM/Gallagher relationship. He discussed the current business environment for insurance companies, agents and brokers, and our clients. He challenged our agents to evaluate their business model given all the changes; to lead: "do not rely on others;" and to finish the job: "walk the talk."

RPS started with 3 employees in Chicago and now has 33 offices around the country with over 600 team members. Joel reviewed all the new resources RPS has added since the last annual meeting. He also gave the agents a glimpse into the future of the additional capabilities RPS will add. Human Resources Panel Discussion

Elizabeth Brinkerhoff
Vice President Human Resources, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co.

Barbara Washington
Director of Human Resources, The Hartford

Jan White
Vice President Human Resources, Central Mutual Insurance Co.

Michael L. Holland
Labor Attorney, Thornton, Biechlin, Segrato, Reynolds & Guerra, L.C.

This year, we concluded the meeting with something different. We gathered a group of Human Resources professionals to discuss issues currently facing our members. The ARM Board of Directors submitted a list of questions beforehand to which the group responded. Attendees then asked follow-up questions of the panel. This was an opportunity for our members to benefit from free advice by a panel of experts on the subject of Human Resources.
