The Lone Star Palace
This year's welcome reception was held at the Lone Star
Palace and was again sponsored by Risk Placement Services.
Lone Star Palace is a private penthouse managed by the
Hyatt, styled with true Texas character. The outdoor deck
overlooks the historic Alamo and provided the dining seating.
Though the weather was threatening earlier that afternoon
and we thought the Ross Curse' was kicking in once more,
the black clouds passed us by and we enjoyed a beautiful
evening!
The Fiesta Event
Our meeting coincided with San Antonio's annual Fiesta
celebration week. This year's offsite event included a
riverboat cruise, where guests were served quesadillas,
margaritas and historical "facts" along the way. Our
final destination was Boudro's Firewheel and outdoor patio
where . . . guess what? The weather was beautiful again!
(We are considering the Ross Curse to be broken!)

At Boudro's Firewheel we held our first Trade Fair in conjunction with a conference reception. Attendees were free to browse and talk to representatives from Cananwill Premium Funding, ARMFiCo, AgentSecure, American Modern Insurance Group, Assurant Solutions, Charity First and RPS/Environmental. Boudro's is well known in San Antonio for their catering, and they truly provided a wonderful buffet. The event was sponsored by Cananwill Premium Finance.
Overall
From feedback we received, we, once
again, will have our work cut out for us to top this
event next year . . . which, by the way, will be at the
Hyatt on Union Square in San Francisco, California. Please
mark your 2006 calendars for May 1-4 and keep your time
free to attend. See you next year!
