Valuable Business Snapshots

To reinforce the value of the ARM Partners Conference visit, breakout sessions were hosted by a variety of vendors and Gallagher partners. They began with a brief overview of products and services followed by Q & A opportunities. In each three-hour time slot, attendees were able to visit six out of eight sessions in small group discussions. This year, the following breakout sessions were offered:

AgentSecure

AgentSecure is an agent-centered online service. It provides an agent access to top-quality carriers, products and coverage, without carrier premium volume requirements. AgentSecure preserves the agents' role in the insurance transaction, allowing them to contribute their professional expertise, while taking advantage of Internet use. In addition, for those who have their own carrier contracts and are simply looking for multi-carrier quoting, agents can earn 100 percent of the gross retail commission on every small commercial policy they sell. In this presentation, Ed Gillman led attendees on a ětourî of the AgentSecure Web site.

MarineFirst

When it comes to insurance, the marine area is often overlooked because it is misunderstood as being too specialized. Not only does marine insurance require unique expertise, it also has a different insurance vocabulary than most agents command. The maritime industry pays a significantly higher percentage of overall revenues on insurance compared to other industries, so even accounts that might look small on the outside can generate substantial premium and revenue. Just as smaller agencies can compete well against the big brokers on traditional property and casualty business, you can tap into this potentially lucrative marketplace by contacting Blake Ahrens and partnering with Gallagher's MarineFirst.
