Associated Risk Managers held their spring Board meeting at the ARM Partners Annual Convention in San Antonio, Texas.
Changes at ARM Partners: Bob Markham accepted the full-time position of Director of Professional Standards with Risk Placement Services. The Board officially recognized Bob's efforts while he was part of the ARM Partners team. Scott Spangler joined ARM Partners April 1, 2005.
Board Positions: up for nominations: Kevin Veleke (ARM of Washington) from Region 7 served three full terms (nine years). The board recognized Kevin for his dedicated service to ARM. In his place, Brian Roberts will assume the Region 7 board seat for three years of service expiring in 2008. John Karle (Region 3) and Bill McClure (Region 1) were re-nominated for three-year terms set to expire in 2008.

Marketing
Committee: Most of the activity involved branding development. In addition:
• American Bankers (Assurant Solutions):
Premium volume has doubled to $2 million and commission
has increased to 22% for new business and 21% for renewal.
• Markel: 25%
more agents placed business with Markel. Premium increased
16%.
• AgentSecure: 18 agencies have signed up thus far.
• PhoneChek:
Nine agencies have used this service. The average annual
savings is $8,000.
ARMFiCo reported almost $92 million in the amount financed for 2004. We are off to a great start in the first four months of 2005. ARMFiCo financed over $32 million; which is up 18.3% year over year.
The Board also approved the continuation of the branding
project.
