We
are all well aware of the devastation and destruction caused
by Hurricane Katrina. This disaster affected many, many
lives along the Gulf Coast, including some of our ARM brothers
and sisters in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Some
of these member agents had their agencies destroyed or
severely damaged.
The Executive Committee, along with other Board Members,
has endorsed a course of action to create the ARM Partners
Agents Relief Fund. Contributions to this Fund are completely
voluntary, and the proceeds will be used to help impacted
agencies survive economically. Because these funds will
be earmarked for specific ARM agencies (to be administered
by a committee) and not the general public, contributions
will not be tax deductible. But regardless, your help truly
is needed! The contribution being solicited is a minimum
of $1,000 from each member agency. If you have any questions
